Question 1

Why do ADAS fault codes B10DE00 and C1A00 appear after a battery change?

Accepted Answer

When battery power is interrupted — during a replacement or jump-start — the stored calibration values for your forward-facing camera and radar module are lost or corrupted. The control units detect the mismatch, flag B10DE00 (camera alignment fault) and C1A00 (radar axis deviation) and disable the affected ADAS systems until a full calibration restores the factory reference data.

Question 2

How much does ADAS calibration cost in Waltham Cross?

Accepted Answer

MnF Motors charges from £150 for a full ADAS calibration. The exact price depends on how many sensors require calibration and whether static, dynamic or both procedures are needed for your vehicle. Call 020 8803 1231 for a precise quote before you book.

Question 3

Can I drive with B10DE00 or C1A00 codes active?

Accepted Answer

Technically the car will move, but your automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist and forward collision warning will be disabled or unreliable. That is a safety risk, especially on the A10 or M25 sections near Waltham Cross. We recommend getting it calibrated before relying on the car in motorway conditions.

Question 4

Will clearing the codes without calibration fix the problem?

Accepted Answer

No. Erasing the codes removes the warning light temporarily, but the underlying calibration data is still incorrect. The codes will return within a short drive, and the ADAS systems will remain inactive or inaccurate until proper calibration equipment is used to restore factory alignment values.
