Question 1

Will my car fail its MOT with the airbag light on?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An illuminated airbag or SRS warning light is an automatic MOT failure. It must be diagnosed and cleared before the test.

Question 2

Do I need a new airbag module after a minor bump?

Accepted Answer

Not in most cases. After a minor impact where the airbags did not deploy, the module usually just stores crash data and locks itself. MnF Motors can reset or repair the existing module, saving you the cost of a replacement unit.

Question 3

How much does airbag light diagnosis and repair cost in Enfield?

Accepted Answer

A diagnostic scan starts from £55. Module reset or repair is quoted separately once the fault is confirmed. Call 020 8803 1231 for a specific quote — we don't pad estimates.

Question 4

Is it safe to drive with the airbag light on?

Accepted Answer

The car will usually drive normally, but the SRS system is disabled — meaning airbags and possibly seatbelt pre-tensioners will not work in a collision. We strongly recommend getting it checked promptly.

Question 5

How far from Enfield does MnF Motors travel for electrical fault repairs?

Accepted Answer

Diagnostics, electrical fault repairs and calibration work are carried out for customers within a 20-mile radius of our Edmonton N18 garage, which covers the whole of Enfield and surrounding areas. Warranty claims work extends to 100 miles.
