Question 1

What does fault code C0035 mean?

Accepted Answer

C0035 is a chassis fault code indicating a problem in the left front wheel speed sensor circuit. The ABS control module is not receiving a valid signal from that sensor. The fault could be the sensor itself, the wiring harness, the reluctor ring, or — less commonly — the ABS module input.

Question 2

Is it safe to drive with a C0035 fault code?

Accepted Answer

You should avoid driving at speed or in wet conditions until this is diagnosed. C0035 disables ABS and can affect stability control and traction control, significantly extending stopping distances in an emergency.

Question 3

How much does C0035 diagnosis and repair cost in Chingford?

Accepted Answer

Diagnosis at MnF Motors starts from £55. Repair cost depends on root cause: a sensor replacement typically ranges from £90–£180 all-in; wiring repairs vary by severity; reluctor ring replacement is priced on inspection. We quote before we touch anything.

Question 4

Can I just replace the wheel speed sensor and clear the code myself?

Accepted Answer

You can, but if the real cause is damaged wiring, a cracked reluctor ring, or a corroded connector, the new sensor will throw the same code within days. Proper diagnosis saves money. MnF Motors checks the full circuit before recommending any part.

Question 5

How long does C0035 repair take at MnF Motors?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, diagnosis plus repair is completed same day. Sensor replacements and minor wiring repairs are typically done within 2–3 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when you book.
