Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

At MnF Motors we take care of your vehicle, and we take care of your personal information too. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we collect it, who sees it and what your rights are. It applies to this website (mnfmotors.co.uk), our phone calls and our workshop services.

1. Who we are

MnF Motors UK Limited, working together with The Vehicle Check Developments Ltd (company number 16222465), is the “data controller” for the information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.

Address: Unit 13, Shaftesbury Road, Edmonton, London N18 1SW
Phone: 020 8803 1231
Contact: use our contact form

2. What information we collect

  • Enquiries and bookings – your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration, make and model, and the details of the fault or service you tell us about, when you use our forms, call us or message us.
  • Repair, servicing and diagnostic records – the work carried out, estimates, invoices, parts used, photographs of the vehicle or fault, and payment records.
  • Warranty and insurance claims – policy or claim numbers and the information exchanged with your warranty provider, insurer or claims administrator so that we can diagnose, authorise and complete the repair.
  • Phone calls – calls may be recorded for training, quality, dispute resolution and the safety of our staff (see section 10 of our Terms and Conditions).
  • Website usage – technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit, and which buttons you press (for example click-to-call), collected using cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and carry out the work you ask for – performing a contract or taking steps at your request.
  • To keep records, issue invoices and meet tax, accounting and legal duties – legal obligation.
  • To deal with warranty and insurance claims, handle disputes, protect our business and staff, and keep our website secure and working well – legitimate interests.
  • To use non-essential cookies and analytics where required – your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what is needed, with: warranty providers, insurers and claims administrators on your claim; parts suppliers and specialist repairers we use for your job; our payment, accounting, IT, website hosting, email and analytics providers; and the police, courts, regulators or other authorities if we are legally required to. These providers act on our instructions or under their own data protection duties.

5. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it. As a guide: invoices, repair and warranty records are kept for up to 6 years (tax and legal claim periods); enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a shorter period and then deleted; website analytics are kept in line with our cookie settings. Call recordings are kept only for as long as needed for the purposes above.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to work properly, understand how it is used and improve it. You can see exactly what we use, and change your choices, on our Cookie Policy page.

7. Keeping it safe

We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting, access controls and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send card numbers or sensitive details by ordinary email.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by UK data protection law.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us to: give you a copy of your information; correct anything that is wrong; delete it in certain cases; restrict or object to some uses; move your information to another provider; and withdraw consent you have given us. To use any of these rights, call us or use our contact form and tell us what you need. We will respond within one month and may need to check your identity first.

10. Complaints

We would always like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commission (formerly the Information Commissioner’s Office), at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
