Question 1

Why are my car lights flickering randomly in Hornsey?

Accepted Answer

Random flickering is almost always a bad earth connection, a corroded connector in the loom, or water ingress into the fusebox. Less commonly it points to a failing Body Control Module (BCM). A proper diagnostic trace — not just a code read — is needed to find the root cause.

Question 2

How much does electrical fault diagnosis cost near Hornsey?

Accepted Answer

At MnF Motors, a full electrical diagnostic typically starts from £55–£75 depending on complexity. Repair costs vary by fault — a corroded earth can be straightforward; a BCM replacement costs more. We give you a clear written quote before any work begins.

Question 3

Is it safe to drive with flickering lights and electrical faults?

Accepted Answer

No — not reliably. Random electrical behaviour can cause sudden loss of instruments, ABS, or even power steering assistance on modern cars. It can also be an MOT failure point. Get it checked promptly.

Question 4

Will an electrical fault cause my car to fail its MOT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Inoperative lights, warning lights illuminated on the dash, or non-functioning electrical safety systems are all MOT failure items. Sorting the electrical fault before your test avoids an immediate fail.

Question 5

How far from Hornsey does MnF Motors travel for repairs?

Accepted Answer

MnF Motors handles electrical repairs, diagnostics and servicing for customers within a 20-mile radius of Edmonton N18 — covering Hornsey and beyond. Warranty claims work extends to 100 miles.
